Adult Creative Workshop | DESIGN, PRINT & MAKE A LAMPSHADE

An opportunity to get creative and learn the basic skills of screen printing and lampshade making. Your day will result in printed pieces of fabric that you have designed & printed and then made into a lampshade.

You will be joining me (Steph), Designer and Screen Printer and Hannah Redden, Interior Designer in one of Bristol's newest print studios in the heart of Bedminster.

Screen printing is a creative process where you transfer a stencilled design onto a flat surface using a mesh screen, ink and a squeegee. Making a lampshade is a wonderful craft to learn and will bring your uniquely designed fabric to life. We're excited to share these skills with you.

What to expect:

+ A creative workshop, time just for you

+ Class size limited to 6 people, so plenty of 1:1 support

+ A hands-on introduction to the screen printing process and tools

+ An exploration of surface pattern design and a chance to create your own 

+ Screen and ink preparation and screen printing onto fabric

+ Exploration of print placement and lampshade design 

+ Practical lampshade making session

You will finish the day with a 30cm lampshade that has been designed, printed and made by you. You can keep it for yourself or why not give it away as a unique gift to someone special.

Teas and coffee provided.

A break for lunch, where you will have a chance to explore all the fab eateries on East or North Street.
